Slogans in favour of Nitish Kumar as Vikas Purush (development man) were shouted in the swearing-in ceremony.
Nitish Kumar was sworn-in as Chief Minister of Bihar on Thursday for sixth time. Senior state BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi too took oath as the Deputy chief minister in the new cabinet of the NDA government.
Except two leaders no other leaders from JD(U) or the BJP took oath as minister in the cabinet. It is said that other ministers will take oath after the NDA government would prove its majority within two days time given by the Governor.
Slogans in favour of Nitish Kumar as Vikas Purush (development man) were shouted in the swearing-in ceremony.
Senior BJP leaders from the centre J P Nadda and Anil Jain were present in the swearing-in ceremony.
Meanwhile, some RJD workers sat on dharna and shouted slogans against Nitish Kumar. The RJD leaders said they would observe the day as “protest day” against Nitish Kumar who betrayed with the mandate of the people of Bihar.
“The people of Bihar had voted for the mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) for five years…but Nitish Kumar betrayed with the mandate of the people and formed government with the BJP”, said an RJD leader.
Apparently upbeat BJP leaders chanted “development of Bihar” and said now the NDA government would work for the development of Bihar.
